The 2017 Cedar Lake Yacht Club Pre-Season Prep regatta was a great opportunity for honing sailing skills and seeing scow sailor friends from the C-Scow and MC-Scow fleets. Held on Big Cedar Lake, WI, The regatta started with a free clinic by Andy Burdick from Melges Performance Sailboats on Friday afternoon. The rest of the regatta provided lots of starts with numerous short races. This gave plenty of chances to shed “rust” and try multiple approaches to the wind and competition. Lake Country Aerial Photography’s Jack Behrend was there taking drone videos, so we’re looking forward to reviewing some clips for learning.
