Racing Skills Evaluation: Develop a Self-Improvement Plan

With summer ending and the racing season fresh in your mind, now is a good time to assess your skills and make plans to improve in key areas. SailZing has compiled a sailing skills evaluation survey, consisting of 16 skills and over 80 subskills. Take the survey and we will email you a copy of your responses.

Skills evaluation is the first step in improvement. When you receive the results, make a plan to work on priority areas for improvement. For more on self-improvement, see our post Sail, Race and Win: Take A Serious Approach to Improvement. This post is a review of the book Sail, Race and Win, by Eric Twiname.

This survey is aimed at skippers of one-design boats. The survey does not include crew work.

Your responses will remain anonymous. We will use the results to focus our future posts. We may also may publish statistical summaries of the results.
